Lyndsey Walsh, MAc., MS., LAc
Lyndsey is a licensed acupuncturist in Massachusetts and a nationally board certified diplomat through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture focusing on Chinese style acupuncture and orthopedic techniques. While obtaining her master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, she simultaneously earned a second master’s degree from Tufts Medical School’s Public Health and Professional Degree Programs in Pain Research, Education, and Policy.
In school, Lyndsey focused her education on the treatment of pain and became well versed in both Eastern and Western methods. Her clinical experience through New England School of Acupuncture was centered on pain conditions, woman’s health, and sports injuries. She worked with institutions such as: Boston Medical Center, Cambridge Health Alliance in Malden, Massachusetts, and at the student clinic at New England School of Acupuncture in family health. Her second master’s degree from Tufts University was not clinically based, however provided her with a solid foundation in pain research, neuroscience, pharmacology, an overview of palliative care and end-of-life issues, public policy, legislative, and forensic issues in pain. She had the opportunity to blend her knowledge of both Eastern and Western medicine with her master’s thesis/capstone project and focused her topic on how acupuncture treatments impacted the quality of life for cancer patients at Tufts Medical Center. Thereafter, she merged her knowledge of Eastern and Western Medicine to treat the multifaceted areas of pain. Lyndsey opened her private practice in the heart of the Berkshires in 2015. In addition to her own practice, she has worked as a teacher’s assistant for Orthopedic Acupuncture at her alma mater at New England School of Acupuncture. She is also a frequent substitute at the Pittsfield Community Acupuncture facility and loves working as a volunteer. She has treated cancer patients at a non-profit organization called Moments House and Veterans for PTSD at the local Soldier On facility in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. She is looking forward to soon be working at the Volunteers in Medicine in Great Barrington for patients who are uninsured. |
